Walking toward the Goal of Messiah and His Kingdom.

WHO  WE  ARE

Torah Chai Ministry is a non-profit corporation headquartered in Branson, Missouri.  Founded in 2008, the goal of the ministry is to spread the truth of the entire word of God to the region and the world.  We take our cue from the Bereans and study all scripture from the foundation and vantage point of Torah (the first five books).

At its founding, Torah Chai was interested in providing a cover organization for the many home-based fellowships in the region.  Since small fellowships have limited funds, bonding together as Torah Chai enables us to provide services to all the fellowships in the region.  These services include providing resource people to the home-based fellowships and those outside our community as well.  In addition, recognizing that fellowship is important, the Feasts of the Lord are observed and available to all.  An example is  Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) which we celebrate annually.

Recognizing Yeshua (Jesus) as the Messiah, we take most of His words literally as we do in most of the scriptures (however, some is allegorical).  When He said, “I come only for the lost sheep of the House of Israel”, and He was in Judea at the time, we were motivated to dig deeper.  Looking at Paul’s teachings, it became obvious he was telling us our “grafting in” meant being part of “The Whole House of Israel.”   This means, to us, the Church has not replaced Israel, but, instead, is part of or grafted into  the whole house.

We also realize the New Covenant has not done away with the law, but is the same law written in a different place (Jer. 31:31-2).  Careful reading of this passage indicates it also is ONLY for the House of Israel and the House of Judah.  And so, as we read the whole Word, we find ourselves, as believers, grafted into one of the two houses.  Since the House of Israel is still in the wilderness (of the people), and Judah is back in the land, it seems we, as believers outside the land, have been grafted into the House of Israel.  Remember, although we call the first sliver of the moon the “new moon”, it is not a new creation but a renewing.  The father gave us a monthly example of the new covenant!

Ozarks Hebrew Heritage Association was brought forth as the part of Torah Chai whose purpose is to provide speaker/teachers and sponsor meetings.

Truth seekers from the Church are always welcome.  For the most part, those making up the organization have been raised Christian and found themselves taking God and Jesus/Yeshua seriously and therefore sought a deeper relationship with and deeper understanding of the Messiah and the Father.

Hosea told us (4:6), “My people perish for lack of knowledge,”  but seldom do we hear the remainder of the verse quoted.  It is significant, especially in these End Times, to understand, as Paul Harvey always said, “The rest of the story”.  Hosea’s “rest of the story” goes like this: “because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

Words mean something!  In Scripture, knowledge is defined as knowledge of scripture.  Perishing is not the option those in Torah Chai want for themselves or their children.

And so, again, Truth Seekers are always welcome at our home fellowship.
